Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding (SDTR) knows the best stories come from the source, of course, and that’s always a faithful, hard-working Horse. And a dedicated Rider. And a nurturing Instructor. So, we headed to the stable!

We asked SDTR Riders, Horses and Instructors to share their stories to show how your support can empower a difference in the lives of Riders like Alyssa, her favorite Horses Lydia and Sol and their Instructor Keith.

LET'S SADDLE UP!

Welcome to the unofficial start of our Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding (SDTR) 2022 Do More 24 Delaware fundraiser.

We’re proud to again be part of this important and unique funding campaign with United Way – an exciting 24-hour online campaign that opens 6pm March 3 and closes 6pm March 4.

The goal is to create a purpose-driven opportunity to engage donors in immediate and critical funding needs.

Lynn Rogers and June Aydelotte graciously donated $6,000.00 to Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding to help continue their mission of providing excellent equine-assisted services for children and adults living with disabilities.

Funds from these donations will be used to support SDTR's daily operating costs, and help provide scholarships for riders who may need them.  SDTR relies on the generosity of donors  to help us to continue our mission, of helping to improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of children and adults living with disabilities.  SDTR has been operating in Sussex County for over 30 years, and still going strong.

July 7th - 18th, SDTR was chosen as the charity, by Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers! Project Kudos mission is to spread positivity by giving kudos, and raising awareness of good things in our community. Each "kudos" received $1, whether it was posted online, on the Project Kudos and SDTR Community Facebook page, in our barn, on a sticker, or on individual Facebook pages. The SDTR Community, and Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers, together raised $1,259, donated to SDTR. Pictured below, SDTR President, Scott D Swingle is presented with a check from Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers! Thank You!
