DM24 week 2

We’re proud to again be part of the United Way’s DoMore24 Delaware (DM24DE) campaign coming up on March 2-3, 2023 to raise funds focused on our Programs and the Horse Herd, our “Four-Legged Therapists”.

Our horses are the foundation of the SDTR Program. A happy horse that enjoys his or her job makes for an even better lesson and happier participant.  Finding the right horse for this very special life of service is critical, and in the past year we’ve succeeded five-fold and welcomed five new well-qualified horses among the American Bashkir Curley, Mustang, Standardbred, and Registered Paint breeds. We’ve already seen how Holistic Healthcare and Natural Horsemanship have improved the quality of their new lives with us, which in turn is improving our ability to serve riders and families in our community.

SDTR was Charity of the Month for November at the Dewey Brewing Co., Harbeson location.  The staff donated their tips and raised $5,656.00.  Our sincere thanks to the staff and management for this generous donation.

We'd like to thank Dewey Beer Company's Harbeson location for selecting SDTR as their Charity of the Month. They will be donating the tips made in their Harbeson location tap room from 11/7-12/4. We truly appreciate their support of our organization.

SDTR held its 6th Annual Barn Dance, on Saturday, October 16th, in their indoor arena, located in Milton, DE. Guests dined on BBQ from Whole Roast BBQ Services, and danced to the music of the Mason Dixon Band.

On October 13th we honored SDTR Major Donors at a reception for more than 50 guests at the farm. It was a special evening for us to express heartfelt thanks by unveiling our Major Donor Sign in the arena viewing area and our Major Partnerships Sign at the entrance to our facility in order to recognize those who helped build the facility.

SDTR has been chosen as an awardee of the Milton Award Program, which is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local organizations throughout the Milton area. Recognition is given to those organizations that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
