July 7th - 18th, SDTR was chosen as the charity, by Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers! Project Kudos mission is to spread positivity by giving kudos, and raising awareness of good things in our community. Each "kudos" received $1, whether it was posted online, on the Project Kudos and SDTR Community Facebook page, in our barn, on a sticker, or on individual Facebook pages. The SDTR Community, and Project Kudos Powered by Schell Brothers, together raised $1,259, donated to SDTR. Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding hasn't been able to have classes in over a year. Now, they're asking for the community's help to raise money to ensure they can host classes again in the near future.

Therapeutic riding can be life changing. SDTR helps people with disabilities of all ages, improve their physical and emotional well-being. The non-profit depends on donations. Giving Never Tasted So Good partners with local restaurants, with a portion of each sale being donated to the non-profit.

The first fundraiser is April 8 at Big Fish Grill starting at noon. You can show the flyer for dine in or takeout.

To do your part all you have to do is show a flyer to your server and they will make sure a portion of your bill is donated to Southern Delaware Therapeutic riding. You find the flyer to print, here.

Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding (SDTR), based in Milton, is grateful to be able to share the goodwill and support they receive from their neighbors in Sussex County. As part of their Grilled Hot Dog Drive-through Fundraiser held on May 1, at their farm on Harbeson Road, they were able to spread the generosity of their supporters throughout the local community — the fundraiser, in which for the price of their ticket donors got a grilled hot dog (meat or veggie) with all the fixings, drink, dessert, and could also enter the raffle to win a Blackstone Gas Griddle donated by Bests’ Ace Hardware.

Like many nonprofit groups, Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding’s fundraising activities were seriously curtailed in 2020, leaving an impact that is still being felt throughout the organization.

Alternative methods of support are more important than ever. Do More 24 Delaware is a huge one-day, statewide fundraising event that focuses attention on supporting nonprofits like SDTR. Donation recipients qualify for matching funds.
